Mustafa, a Muslim sheikh, and Boulus, a Christian theologian, are both threatened by religious extremists. The Egyptian government decides to protect them with a slightly unusual way by giving them a new identity: Mustafa, the Muslim, becomes Markos the Christian, and Boulus pretends to be Hassan Al-Attan, a Muslim sheikh.
