ANOTHER BORDER AU GOTEBORGS KONSTHALL

The film program “Another Border”, curated by Bouchra Khalili and Yto Barrada for the Cinematheque de Tanger, is now showing at the Göteborgs Konsthall in Gothenburg, Sweden. The program consists of ten works by artists and filmmakers and is divided into four main themes: (Hi)story Tellers, Feminine, From a Distant Land and Who Are the Others. The CdT’s stay also coincides with the 32th Göteborg International Film Festival.

ANOTHER BORDER AU LACMA


 
At the request of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), the Cinematheque de Tanger has developed a program to showcase the vitality of contemporary Moroccan cinema alongside the richness of historic archival footage from the region. This selection of Moroccan short movies, documentaries, experimental films and videos follows the fault lines between representation and reality, in both daily life and extraordinary circumstances. The intersection between tradition, globalization, and shifting notions of 'modernity' creates not a clash, but a fertile space for reflection. This program not only addresses the complex space between the West and Morocco, but also provides a platform for further dialogue on the ideas of hope and hospitality.
