The Cinema Rif has newly installed state-of-the-art equipment and comfortable seating for optimum viewing conditions.

TWO THEATERS

The Main Screening Room has an 11-meter screen with Dolby SRD audio and seats 360. The screening room also includes a stage and can easily change into a theater. Its renovated projection booth is furnished with 35mm, video, beta, and digital projectors. The location of the projection booth will also allow our Open-Air Screenings on the Grand Socco Plaza with a seating capacity of over 4000, simply by turning the projector 90 degrees. The screening room is handicapped-accessible.

Our second screening room with 52 seats and all the equipment of the main screening room allows films to enjoy a longer run and more exposure to public.

READING ROOM

Our Reading Room houses reference volumes, periodicals, magazines, cinema criticism and catalogues.

VIDEO LIBRARY AND ARCHIVE

The digital Video Library is available for "à la carte" viewing on eight Sony studio monitors. We are in the process of digitizing a database consisting of Moroccan classic and contemporary cinema, Moroccan and world documentary, newsreels, as well as video art. The collection will also house an archive of Moroccan amateur film, representing the history of Morocco through home movie footage.

EDITING SUITE

With our Final Cut Pro digital Editing Suite, the CdT aims to provide an important technical tool for young filmmakers who would otherwise be hard-pressed to find editing equipment in northern Morocco. This equipment allows professionals to hold post-production seminars and workshops for students.

CAFÉ

The architect-designed cafe area will open soon after the cinema and will offer beverages, snacks, high speed internet access, a variety of daily newspapers, and, most importantly, a relaxed public space consecrated to the cultural life of the city.
