Northern France. Hervé’s factory is transferred elsewhere and closes down. He is the only worker to resign himself to this situation because he hankers instead for another destiny: to become a fisherman and to transmit this passion to his son. The Tunisian suburbs, to where the factory is relocated. Foued, who is unemployed, thinks that working at the factory will allow him to pay to cure his mother, but most importantly, to win over the girl he loves. The parallel stories of Hervé and Foued echo one another.
