Recently released from jail, Maurice Faugel learns his wife was murdered. Mad with grief, he commits several thiefs and burglaries, helped by a mysterious man called “doulos”, who seems to be a police informer.

Made as a tribute to american “films noirs”, The Doulos became itself a reference for cineasts as Quentin Tarantino or John Woo.
