BY RODRIGO SOROGOYEN
Madrid, summer 2011. The city, plunged in full economic crisis, is confronted with the emergence of the movement of “indignés” and the imminent visit of Pope Benedict XVI. It is in this hyper-tense context that Alfaro and Velarde’s improbable duo finds himself in charge of investigating a serial-killer of a very particular kind. The two inspectors, under pressure, are also forced to act in the utmost discretion … A race against the clock then commits, which gradually reveals them to themselves; are they so different from the criminal that they pursue?
